TheAsus Eee PC 1001P-MU17 is one of the best budget netbook around. Some features that we really like about this netbook includes:

• It has a 92-percent full-size keyboard that’s easy to use
• It has a 6-cell battery that provide up to 11 hours of battery life
• It has a matte display which enable users to use it outdoor without any reflection problem
• It comes with a lid with textured checkerboard pattern of tiny concentric squares. This matte lid keep smudges at bay, and it makes the 1001P look more expensive than its price suggests.

The best part is of course the price. At $290, the Eee PC 1001P offers excellent value for the money.

The Acer Aspire One 532h is the next netbook that we would recommend after the Eee PC 1001P. It’s the updated model of the flagship netbook from Acer. Similar to most other netbooks, it comes with Intel Atom N450 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and 6-cell battery that supports up to 10 hours of battery life. At $295, it’s cheaper than most netbook of its class. If you are looking for a low-cost netbook under $300, the AO532h is a great choice to consider.

As an Acer subsidiary, Gateway’s LT21 series netbooks are pretty similar to Acer’s flagship netbook, the Aspire One 532h. They are identical to each other in terms of specs, design, even price.
